Volunteer and help make a difference in a life.
Dog Walking – Volunteers are always needed to walk shelter dogs. This makes for great exercise for you and the dog. A trip out of the shelter lets shelter dog personalities shine. Contact your local Humane Society or animal shelter to see if they need any dog walkers!
“Walk a dog a mile and it is guaranteed to make you smile.”
Pet Meet & Greets – Volunteers can help with Pet Meet & Greets by calling your local animal shelter and seeing if they need people to showcase pets (usually on weekends). This allows people to get to know the animals in a face-to-face setting.
Fundraisers – Volunteers are always needed to help with the many fundraisers throughout the year. See if your local shelter has anyone running the fundraisers for shelter animals.
Foster an Animal – Do you have room for an animal in your home? Fostering animals is a great way to keep the animals out of the shelters and in a home environment. Shelter life can be stressful for an animal, but staying with a foster can mean the world to them!
Sleepover – Can’t foster a pet, but would like to have one for the week or weekend. Then try a sleepover. It’s great for animals to experience home environments and to receive lots of attention and the sleepover accomplishes both goals.
SHELTER – Volunteers can contact shelters for many daily activities.
